Access to electricity remains a challenge in rural India, leaving many communities in darkness. To address this, “Light A Lamp”—a joint initiative by S&P Global India and Crisil Foundation, launched on the 50th World Environment Day—brought sustainable lighting solutions to un-electrified households.

With the support of 1,000 volunteers across 8 locations, 1,000 solar lamps were created and delivered, showcasing the transformative power of partnerships.

Over 830 solar lamps were distributed in Lumbajong Block, Karbi Anglong (Assam) and Dausa & Banswara districts (Rajasthan), improving safety, living conditions, and enabling access to clean, reliable light.

Together, we’re illuminating homes, fostering hope, and building a sustainable future—one solar lamp at a time.
