Crisil moderates discussion at IACPM Spring Conference 2025

Crisil Integral IQ participated in the IACPM Spring Conference 2025, a three-day gathering of credit portfolio management professionals, between May 14 and 16, 2025.

The annual conference, held in Vienna, comprised plenary sessions, breakout streams and exclusive pre-conference roundtable discussions.

The panel discussions were on the following themes:

  • Macroeconomic volatility and impact on portfolios: How global policy shifts and regulatory focus on emerging risks are driving smarter, root-level monitoring over recalibration of early traditional warning systems
  • High-risk and specialised lending: The need for real-time monitoring and evolving risk appetite amid growing exposures to asset-backed lending, leveraged finance and thematic lending such as renewables and technology buyouts
  • Artificial intelligence (AI) and automation in credit monitoring: While AI is gaining traction, its adoption remains nascent, with most use-cases leveraging it for portfolio-level insights and not credit decisioning, driving the need for strong guardrails

Amit Vora, Head of Sales, Regional Banks and Asset Managers, Crisil Integral IQ, moderated the discussion on macroeconomic volatility, portfolio oversight, and the evolving role of data and risk governance.

The discussion featured senior leaders from Barclays, Royal Bank of Canada and Nordea Bank on the evolving challenges in shaping portfolio monitoring and credit risk strategy.

We thank our esteemed panelists and the IACPM community for bringing to the fore the challenges, and evoking clarity and practical insights about the credit risk landscape.
